The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Sam Margolis and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vogels connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Kurosaki closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Kurosaki looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Kurosaki throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Vogels's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Kurosaki's corner calls for a 1-2. Kurosaki obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Vogels displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kurosaki throws out the jab.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Vogels cracks Kurosaki with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Kurosaki is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Kurosaki is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9, he's up! Wow, he cut that one a bit fine!

Kurosaki swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Vogels counters with a beautiful head kick that sends Kurosaki crashing to the mat! Oh, he's out! He's out! Vogels is jumping up and down like a maniac, spit streaming from his mouthpiece, shouting and screaming at his corner. Wow, this obviously means a hell of a lot to him! What an outpouring of emotion.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Nero Vogels!
Our winner, Nero Vogels, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
