Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Traicho Traev (ranked 6243 p4p, 6063 weight class) and Kurty Barov (ranked 598 p4p, 583 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Barov fails with an attempt to clinch.

Traev closes the distance and clinches.

Traev breaks the clinch.
Traev pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Barov back to the cage. Traev follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Traev's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Barov has Traev pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Traev manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Barov is trying to break the clinch but Traev is controlling him.

and Traev counters by moving into the clinch.

Barov jumps guard but Traev turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Traev lands with a short head shot on the inside.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Traev.
Barov wants to break free but Traev has control.
Traev drops down looking for an ankle pick but Barov pulls his leg out and moves away.

Traev shoots in and bounces Barov off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Barov manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Barov ducks right into an uppercut from Traev.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Traev tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Barov defends well and Traev ends up having to push Barov into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Traev's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Barov shoots for a double leg takedown but Traev sprawls well. He's pushed Barov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Barov works over Traev's head and body with a nice combination.
Traev tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Barov defends well and Traev ends up having to push Barov into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

That was a close round but I would say that Traicho Traev will probably get the nod.

Barov bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Barov doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Traev tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Barov shoots in but no luck this time.
Barov closes this distance looking for a takedown but Traev circles away.
Barov rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Traev moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

We've been informed that Barov has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Traev drives through and clinches with Barov against the cage.
Traev looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Traev stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Traev wants it to stay on the feet.

Traev throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Barov's waist but Barov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Traev off to one side.

Barov manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Traev on his heels. He'll look to pass Traev's guard now, I'm sure.

Traev shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Barov is trying to defend but Traev finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Barov tries to roll over but Traev keeps him under control.
Traev slows the pace down in half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Traev is pressing down on Barov's thigh, looking to free his foot. Barov is holding on for now.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Traicho Traev.
Well Traev has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
