The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sousa is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Sousa.
Deetoo tries to clinch but Sousa moves out of range.
Deetoo tries a head kick but it misses.
Sousa blocks a head kick by Deetoo .
Deetoo doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Sousa counters with a stiff right hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sousa misses with a looping left.
Sousa misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Despite the aggression on Deetoo 's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Deetoo doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Sousa counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Sousa closes the distance looking for a takedown. Deetoo stuffs it but Sousa still has hold of him. Sousa picks Deetoo up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Sousa slams Deetoo to the floor and that's really hurt Deetoo - he doesn't know where he is! Sousa throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!
