The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vilkas closes the distance and pushes Niculescu back into the cage.
Niculescu goes for a takedown attempt but Vilkas pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Niculescu fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Vilkas ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Vilkas tries to clinch up but Niculescu circles away and keeps his distance.

The fight stays on the outside here - Vilkas looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Vilkas lands a big uppercut and Niculescu crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Niculescu looks OK. Vilkas waves Niculescu back to his feet!

Vilkas works Niculescu's body with a nice hook.

Vilkas feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Niculescu sprawling to the canvas! Niculescu rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Vilkas finish him?!
Oh Niculescu is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Deividas Vilkas seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Vilkas closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Niculescu out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
