The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Couture slips a jab from Reis.
Couture throws the left hand but Reis avoids the punch easily.
As Couture backs off Reis throws a huge counter combo but Couture manages to avoid it all.

Couture misses with an uppercut.
Reis throws a hook to the side of Couture's head but Couture sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Couture tried to counter with a leg kick but Reis avoided it.

Reis throws an overhand right that lands on Couture's shoulder, as Couture tries to avoid the shot.
Reis looks to land a left hand but Couture moved out of range nicely.

Reis might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Dario Reis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Reis is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Couture had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
Reis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Couture manages to avoid it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Couture throws a solid leg kick but Reis takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Couture.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Couture might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

Reis bucks up and tries to throw Couture off but instead Couture has got his back!

Reis is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Couture.
Couture has the hooks in. Reis is starting to panic. He's trying to push off one of the legs but he's left his neck open to attack. Couture passes his arm under Reis's neck and tightens up a rear naked choke! This one is surely all over! Yes, Reis taps!
