Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Leonard (ranked 4317 p4p, 4822 weight class) and Jacques Machine (ranked 433 p4p, 461 weight class). Machine has chosen La petite fille de la mer as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Leonard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jacques Machine! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Taro Takaoka and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Machine connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. The crowd cheers as Machine lands an impressive looking overhand right. Leonard doesn't seem phased though. Machine pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Leonard back to the cage. Machine follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Leonard is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Leonard feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Machine trying to keep a closed guard but Leonard is proving a slippery customer.
Machine is pulling down on Leonard's head. It's preventing any offense from Leonard, at least for the moment. Machine manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Leonard manages to get himself to full guard.
Machine is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. This has been an exciting period of action! Machine prevents Leonard from getting back to his feet. Machine must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Machine is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Leonard has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Machine can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Leonard pulls Machine in close to prevent any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Machine controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Leonard keeping full guard, as Machine tries to pass. Machine is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Leonard keeping moving, preventing Machine from controlling successfully. Machine not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Leonard tries to strike from the bottom.
Leonard wants to stand up but Machine is controlling him. Machine content to stall in guard here. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Machine wants to pass the guard but Leonard is keeping the position. Machine looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Leonard fails with an attempt to clinch.
Machine scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Leonard is breathing heavily. Machine scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Machine tests Leonard's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Leonard is rocked! Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Machine engages and cracks Leonard with a massive lead left hook - Leonard tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Machine is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
