Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gakus Amiga (ranked 24773 p4p, 24524 weight class) and Richard John Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 27 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gakus Amiga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard John Salvacion!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Salvacion doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Amiga counters with a nice body kick.
Amiga stuffs the takedown attempt from Salvacion. Salvacion gets slowly back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Amiga leaves Salvacion with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Gakus Amiga has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard John Salvacion.

Salvacion shoots in for a takedown but Amiga shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Amiga is looking to counter with a body kick.
Salvacion has his takedown stuffed
and Amiga counters with a solid body kick.
Salvacion tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Amiga swivels and escapes.
Amiga throws a quick counter head kick but Salvacion was just out of range.
Salvacion shoots in for a takedown but Amiga shows good takedown defense.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Amiga in particular looking to stall.
Amiga seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Salvacion for as long as he can get away with.

Amiga trying to pass the guard but Salvacion defending well.
Salvacion trying to control but Amiga postures up.
Amiga content to control rather than advance.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Amiga displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Salvacion.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Amiga scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Gakus Amiga dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Amiga passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Salvacion!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Amiga content just to control the position here.
Amiga is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Salvacion can do to turn this around?

Salvacion is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Amiga controlling the position easily from mount.
Amiga has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Salvacion wants to control but Amiga is having none of it.
Amiga landing strikes from the mount and Salvacion is in trouble!
Amiga controlling the pace for now.

Amiga is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Salvacion can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Amiga sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Salvacion is working to get back to half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Amiga takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Amiga darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Amiga trying to control from half guard but Salvacion is working away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Amiga content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Salvacion has his hands clasped together around Amiga's back. He's all about the action.
Amiga wants to pass to mount but Salvacion is defending the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Salvacion is controlling Amiga's position as best he can from this difficult position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Salvacion tries to get to full guard but Amiga has control of the leg.
Amiga performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Amiga throws a body kick despite being completely out of range

and Salvacion counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Salvacion.

Amiga wants to sweep but no luck.
Salvacion throws a big elbow that misses.
Salvacion looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Salvacion connects with a couple of short punches.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Salvacion stays in close to Amiga's body and controls the position.
Amiga looking to control but Salvacion passes into half guard.
Salvacion slows the pace down in half guard.
Richard John Salvacion has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Gakus Amiga is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Amiga preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Gakus Amiga.
Well Amiga has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
