And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jugo Fury!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Briggs wants to clinch.
Fury misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Fury scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Fury scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Briggs to see if he's OK.
Briggs tries to buck Fury off but Fury is having none of it.
Fury lands a decent elbow from side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Briggs can't do much from the bottom here.
Briggs takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Briggs is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Briggs tries to control but Fury manages to take his back.

I really don't envy Briggs right now.

Fury has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

A very excited looking Jugo Fury rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
