Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ruslan Beznisko (ranked 3220 p4p, 3380 weight class) and Keith Chegwin (ranked 395 p4p, 420 weight class). Keith Chegwin is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ruslan Beznisko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Keith Chegwin! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Ian Loll and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beznisko throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Beznisko shoots in but no luck this time. Beznisko closes the distance and clinches up with Chegwin, looking for a takedown. Beznisko pushes Chegwin against the cage but Chegwin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Chegwin swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Beznisko.
It looks like Ruslan Beznisko has been cut. Beznisko darts in looking for a takedown but Chegwin gets double underhooks and turns Beznisko into the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ruslan Beznisko. That's going to take a lot out of him. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Chegwin lands with a short shot to the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chegwin breaks from the clinch.
Chegwin throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Beznisko looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Chegwin let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Ruslan Beznisko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Chegwin misses with a wild body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beznisko moves out of range as Chegwin strikes. Chegwin lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Beznisko shoots in looking for a takedown. Chegwin tries to sprawl out of it but Beznisko keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Chegwin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Chegwin has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far. Chegwin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Chegwin cracks a nice hook into Beznisko's ribs. Chegwin connects with a jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Beznisko swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Keith Chegwin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Chegwin gets caught flat footed, as Beznisko shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Beznisko is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Beznisko is fighting to break Chegwin's control of his arms but Chegwin is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Beznisko wants to control from the top but Chegwin keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chegwin is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Beznisko drops back looking for a leg! Chegwin is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Chegwin manages to kick Beznisko off! Beznisko jumps back into Chegwin's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chegwin is trying to control the position but Beznisko postures up.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Chegwin looks to land a right hand but Beznisko moved out of range. Beznisko bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chegwin is not content to let Beznisko control the position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Chegwin can do anything to dispel that myth. Chegwin struggling a bit here. Beznisko is trying to get an arm triangle but Chegwin is defending well. Beznisko is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Chegwin knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Beznisko tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Beznisko has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Keith Chegwin will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Ruslan Beznisko's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Beznisko misses with a hook
enabling Chegwin to counter with a crisp jab. Chegwin swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Beznisko shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Chegwin counters with a nice uppercut. Beznisko avoids the body shot from Chegwin.
Beznisko moves out of range as Chegwin strikes. Beznisko shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Chegwin defends it nicely. Chegwin looks like he wants to counter punch here. Keith Chegwin seems to be getting the better of the standup. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chegwin misses the shot to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice defenses there by Beznisko. Excellent takedown into side control there by Beznisko. Beznisko has hold of Chegwin's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Chegwin tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Beznisko cranks the arm and Chegwin screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Chegwin, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Ruslan Beznisko! Ruslan Beznisko seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
