Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Torkel Bystrom (ranked 2124 p4p, 2956 weight class) and Chozen Gracie (ranked 230 p4p, 322 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Chozen Gracie was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 15 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Torkel Bystrom!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chozen Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bystrom closes the distance and clinches.

Bystrom has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gracie can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Bystrom pushes Gracie away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Gracie gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Gracie is looking to take a break and control but Bystrom is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bystrom manages to work his way to half guard, despite Gracie's best efforts.

That was a close round but I would say that Torkel Bystrom will probably get the nod.

Gracie shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bystrom as he avoids it easily.
Torkel Bystrom has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chozen Gracie.
Gracie darts in looking for a takedown but Bystrom gets double underhooks and turns Gracie into the cage.

Gracie changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bystrom tries to avoid it but Gracie manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bystrom to the ground. Bystrom escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Bystrom manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gracie takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
It looks like Chozen Gracie has been cut.

Gracie uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bystrom.

Bystrom is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Gracie keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bystrom clinches with his opponent.
Bystrom tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Gracie avoids it.
Bystrom pulls guard successfully.
Bystrom is looking for a triangle here but Gracie uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Bystrom tries to buck Gracie off but Gracie is having none of it.

Bystrom explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Torkel Bystrom is winning the standup battle so far.
Bystrom has managed to clinch.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Bystrom takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Bystrom's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Gracie is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Bystrom is defending well.
Bystrom lands a nice shot to the body.
Gracie has Bystrom pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bystrom manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
A bit of stalling here from Bystrom.
Bystrom misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Gracie.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Bystrom is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Gracie.

and Bystrom counters with a head kick that drops Gracie to the mat! Gracie scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Bystrom moves in close and cracks Gracie with a massive right hand! Gracie, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Bystrom!

An out of breath Torkel Bystrom thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
