Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Reymond Deymon (ranked 4331 p4p, 4407 weight class) and Ron Lyle (ranked 439 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Thiago Cunha and Luis Engracia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lyle has a takedown stuffed.
Deymon appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Lyle keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Deymon shoots in but no luck this time.
Lyle throws a series of punches but Deymon moves out of range.
Deymon attempts a counter takedown but Lyle avoids it well and moves away.

Lyle gets a double leg takedown into Deymon's guard.
Lyle is standing up over Deymon. Deymon looks to escape but Lyle dives into side control.

Deymon is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Lyle asserts his dominance and retains side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Deymon takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Deymon is letting Lyle control him for a moment.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Deymon manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Well, if Deymon is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Deymon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Lyle is looking to control Deymon's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lyle avoid being mounted?

Deymon slows the pace down in half guard.
Lyle manages to get to full guard.
Lyle will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Lyle is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Deymon's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Deymon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lyle swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Deymon gets to his feet. Lyle looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Lyle throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Deymon counters by moving into the clinch.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Lyle tries to pull guard but Deymon won't allow it.
Deymon fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Lyle is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Lyle breaks from the clinch.

Deymon fails with the takedown.
Deymon closes the distance but Lyle moves to the side
and Lyle connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A nice combination there by Lyle.
Deymon throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Deymon misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Lyle slaps away a takedown attempt from Deymon, before circling back to the center of the mat.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Lyle fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Deymon moves into the clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Deymon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ron Lyle will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Lyle throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Lyle looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Deymon is fending him off so far but Lyle persists. Nope, Deymon circles away and we're back to standing.
Deymon appears to be looking for a big counter.
Lyle tries to clinch but Deymon moves out of range.
Deymon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lyle tries to avoid it but Deymon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lyle to the ground. Lyle escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Crunch! Deymon slams his shin into Lyle's torso.
Lyle comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Deymon lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Lyle throws a right hand that Deymon ducks under and follows up with a left that Deymon also avoids with ease.
Deymon shoots in for a takedown but Lyle shows good takedown defense.

Deymon shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lyle sprawls well. Lyle wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Deymon gets slowly back to his feet.

Lyle misses with a takedown attempt - Deymon sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Deymon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Deymon rushes Lyle and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lyle jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Deymon walks away with a smile on his face. Lyle gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Lyle has closed the distance and engaged Deymon in a clinch.
Deymon is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Lyle manages to break the clinch.
Deymon shoots in looking for a takedown but Lyle manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Deymon's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Deymon tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Lyle manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Deymon shoots in for a takedown but Lyle shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Lyle closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Deymon goes for a takedown attempt but Lyle pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Lyle turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Lyle fails with an attempt to clinch.
Deymon shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Lyle counters with a left to the body.

Deymon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

As Lyle looks to move away, Deymon throws a big counter combo but Lyle just gets out of the way.

Lyle shoots in for a takedown but Deymon shows good takedown defense.

Lyle has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Lyle misses with a double jab.
Deymon rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lyle moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The fight stays on the outside here - Lyle looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Deymon seems keen to control Lyle's posture.

Lyle makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Deymon manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lyle manages to get himself to full guard.

Deymon decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Deymon takes the fight into the clinch.
Deymon tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Lyle just stands there and leans against the cage.

Lyle is trying to trip Deymon. He has hold of a leg but Deymon is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Lyle persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lyle accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Deymon throws a right and a left that Lyle avoids nicely.

Lyle shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Deymon napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Deymon tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lyle wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Deymon wants to control but Lyle postures up.
Lyle scores with a couple of short elbows.
Deymon is not content to let Lyle control the position.
Deymon wants to get back to his feet but Lyle drags him back down.

And that's the end of the fight!
Reymond Deymon showed his dominance in that final round.
