Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Arne Kristiansen (ranked 4278 p4p, 2901 weight class) and Pete Sirah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Arne Kristiansen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pete Sirah!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Thiago Cunha and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sirah tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kristiansen defends well and Sirah ends up having to push Kristiansen into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Nice takedown defense from Kristiansen. No joy for Sirah on that attempt.
Kristiansen keeps the fight on the outside.

and Kristiansen counters with a head kick. That will keep Sirah thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Arne Kristiansen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pete Sirah.
Kristiansen checks the leg kick nicely there.

Sirah takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Pete Sirah seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Kristiansen counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Kristiansen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Sirah misses with a takedown attempt - Kristiansen sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Sirah walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Sirah is looking to clinch but Kristiansen is avoiding it.
Kristiansen throws a quick counter head kick but Sirah was just out of range.
Kristiansen works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Sirah tries to clinch there but Kristiansen circles away.
Sirah closes the distance looking to clinch
enabling Kristiansen to counter with a crisp jab.

Sirah fails with the takedown
and Kristiansen counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Kristiansen is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
A low kick from Sirah is predictable there
letting Kristiansen counter with a right hand.
Kristiansen cracks Sirah with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Sirah wants to land a leg kick but Kristiansen is out of range.

Sirah gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Sirah is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Kristiansen is trying to break free.
Sirah is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Kristiansen pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Kristiansen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sirah looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Sirah tries for a takedown but Kristiansen circles away easily
and Kristiansen counters with a nice body shot.
Sirah tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Kristiansen counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Sirah tries to clinch but Kristiansen moves out of range.

Sirah tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kristiansen swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Kristiansen swats away the attempt to clinch by Sirah.

Kristiansen gets tackled into the cage by Sirah. Sirah maintains the clinch.

Kristiansen manages to break the clinch.
A head kick misses from Kristiansen.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kristiansen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Sirah shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kristiansen manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Kristiansen is trying to control the position from the bottom.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Arne Kristiansen dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Kristiansen lets loose with a powerful body kick. Sirah will feel that in the morning.
Sirah wants to clinch.
Kristiansen is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sirah can do to turn this around?
Sirah moves to clinch but Kristiansen breaks away
and Kristiansen counters with a left to the body.

Kristiansen throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Sirah moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sirah tries to clinch there but Kristiansen circles away.

Sirah throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kristiansen tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Sirah is in Kristiansen's guard.

Sirah stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kristiansen swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Sirah seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sirah forces his way into half guard.
Sirah not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Sirah is pressing down on Kristiansen's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kristiansen is holding on for now.

Sirah is working for a submission of some sort.
Kristiansen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sirah on the ground.
Kristiansen is in trouble now - Sirah has advanced to mount!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sirah controlling from mount.

Sirah looking for a guillotine from mount but Kristiansen is having none of it.
Sirah controlling the position easily from mount.
Sirah's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Sirah is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Kristiansen is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Kristiansen flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Sirah anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Kristiansen and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Sirah slips an arm under Kristiansen chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Sirah has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Sirah is squeezing on Kristiansen like an anaconda would it's prey. Kristiansen fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Pete Sirah!
