Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John McCoy (ranked 2186 p4p, 1867 weight class) and Darstknasset Oystenteller (ranked 281 p4p, 240 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John McCoy!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Darstknasset Oystenteller!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Daniel Franklin and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oystenteller throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McCoy's waist but McCoy gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Oystenteller off to one side.

McCoy rushes Oystenteller and presses him up against the cage.
Oystenteller's coach down at PhoQus Island Training was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Oystenteller's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
McCoy tries to throw a body punch but Oystenteller avoids it by throwing McCoy back against the cage.
McCoy struggles to land a body shot inside as Oystenteller controls his hands.
Nice elbow from McCoy.
McCoy is pressed up against the cage. Oystenteller has hold of a leg and is looking to drag McCoy down to the mat. McCoy avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

McCoy clinches with his opponent.

McCoy manages to break the clinch.

McCoy closes the distance and pushes Oystenteller back into the cage.
McCoy gets underhooks to prevent Oystenteller's takedown attempt.
John McCoy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Darstknasset Oystenteller.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Oystenteller tries to score a body lock takedown but McCoy shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
McCoy gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

It looks like Darstknasset Oystenteller has been cut.
Oystenteller takes an elbow to the forehead.

McCoy breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Oystenteller tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but McCoy swivels and escapes.
A counter left hand to the body from McCoy misses its target.

McCoy checks a low kick from Oystenteller.
McCoy swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Oystenteller.

Oystenteller is rocked!
McCoy fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Oystenteller is still on wobbly legs! Can McCoy finish him?

McCoy clinches up against the cage.
Oystenteller seems to have recovered his senses.
McCoy lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Oystenteller.

Oystenteller jumps guard and drags McCoy to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
McCoy wanted to stand there but Oystenteller had control of the position.
McCoy missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
McCoy trying to control but Oystenteller is working from the bottom.
Oystenteller looking to hit a scissor sweep but McCoy is one step ahead there.
Oystenteller keeping full guard, as McCoy tries to pass.
McCoy has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
McCoy wants to control from the top but Oystenteller keeps moving.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
Oystenteller tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
McCoy cracks Oystenteller with a right hand to the side of the head.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Oystenteller tries for a takedown but McCoy circles away easily
and McCoy connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Oystenteller throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McCoy's waist but McCoy gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Oystenteller off to one side.
McCoy swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Oystenteller moves out of range as McCoy strikes.
McCoy jabbing away but nothing is landing.
McCoy misses with a combination

so Oystenteller counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Oystenteller throwing strikes from guard but McCoy blocks nicely.
Oystenteller with a flurry of punches that miss.
Oystenteller is pushing down on McCoy's leg trying to pass to half guard. McCoy is fighting to maintain full guard but Oystenteller has managed to sneak the leg through.
McCoy on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if McCoy tries to get out of the position.
Oystenteller working over McCoy with some ground and pound. McCoy looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Oystenteller winds up and cracks McCoy with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
McCoy blocking the ground and pound attempt from Oystenteller.
McCoy wants to get back to his feet.
McCoy trying to control from the bottom.
Oystenteller is keen to just control but McCoy is a slippery customer.

Oystenteller maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! McCoy could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Oystenteller has cracked it and McCoy is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Oystenteller!

A very excited looking Darstknasset Oystenteller made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
