Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Brooks (ranked 3744 p4p, 4395 weight class) and Island Test Two (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gabriel Brooks has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Gabriel Brooks! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Island Test Two! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Michael Johnstone and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brooks thows a left - swing and a miss! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Two. Brooks misses with a looping left. No luck for Two with that takedown attempt. Two moves away from the strike by Brooks. Brooks fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Two, pushing him back against the cage. Two avoids a wild elbow strike from Brooks. Brooks stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Two is trying to pull guard but Brooks turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Gabriel Brooks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Island Test Two. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brooks comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Brooks is stalling here.
Two goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
That's one minute gone in the round. Two misses with an elbow strike.
Two is trying to pull guard but Brooks turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Brooks pressing his opponent against the cage. Two has Brooks pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Brooks manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Brooks tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Two avoids it. Two is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Two avoiding damage as Brooks throws knees to the body.
Brooks tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Two tries to pull guard but Brooks holds him up against the cage and eventually Two drops back down to his feet.
Brooks definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Two wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Brooks has him pressed against the cage. Brooks prevents Two from breaking the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Two letting Brooks take a breather here. Brooks tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Brooks goes for a takedown attempt but Two pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Two misses with a jab, cross combination.
Two changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Brooks tries to avoid it but Two manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Brooks to the ground. Brooks escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Brooks throws a jab but it's blocked by Two. Two dives in for a single leg takedown but Brooks sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Brooks drops down looking for a counter takedown but Two sprawls and moves away. Brooks throws a shot from downtown. Two moves away and avoids it. Two steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Brooks. Brooks gets in close and instigates a clinch. Two can't find room to land a body shot as Brooks controls the action.
Two trying to control the position but instead, Brooks has worked for underhooks and has pushed Two into the cage. Two tries for a takedown but Brooks manages to get underhooks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Two looking for a takedown. Two tries to pull guard but Brooks won't allow it.
Two jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Brooks walks away with a smile on his face. Two gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Brooks fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Two checks it well. Two throws a head kick that misses. Two slips under a jab from Brooks. Two shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Brooks as he avoids it easily. A head kick by Two misses and Brooks counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Brooks. Two has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Brooks off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Brooks throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Brooks attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Brooks throws out a token jab with nothing on it. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Two.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A jab from Brooks misses. Two fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Brooks misses with a hook. Brooks wants to land a leg kick but Two is out of range. Brooks closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Brooks trying to control the position but Two is working away. Brooks is working to tighten his grip on Two's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Two has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Brooks is really squeezing tight and eventually Two passes out! Brooks breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
