Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivera changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Spud tries to avoid it but Rivera manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Spud to the ground. Spud escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Rivera rushes Spud and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Rivera is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Spud is defending well.

Rivera breaks from the clinch.
Rivera doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Spud misses with a wild combination.
Rivera steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Spud.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Spud tries to keep at a distance but Rivera has taken the fight into the clinch.

Spud is pressed up against the cage. Rivera has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Spud down to the mat. Spud avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Rivera closes the distance and clinches up with Spud, looking for a takedown. Rivera pushes Spud against the cage but Spud circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Spud lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rivera circles away quickly and effectively.
Spud slaps away a takedown attempt from Rivera, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Rivera has closed the distance and engaged Spud in a clinch.
Spud is trying to force a seperation but Rivera has the dominant position.

Spud throws a series of punches but Rivera avoids them all with ease.
Rivera slips a jab and a cross from Spud.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Spud, as that shot connected.
Spud is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Rivera tries to score a power double leg takedown but Spud sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rivera somewhat.
Rivera is looking to clinch but Spud is avoiding it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Spud leaves Rivera with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Rivera has eaten all the pies!

Rivera is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
