Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mel Bec (ranked 4377 p4p, 4575 weight class) and Scott Shredder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Mel Bec has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Mel Bec seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bec misses with a hook.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Shredder.
Bec throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bec tries to sprawl but Shredder drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Shredder tries to pass to full mount but Bec defends it.
Shredder is working for a kimura but Bec is defending it quite comfortably.
Bec is looking to control Shredder's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bec avoid being mounted?
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shredder is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Bec has managed to free his arm - good work.
Shredder wants to work for an arm triangle but Bec is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Shredder is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bec is just riding it out for now. Shredder eventually gives up the hold.
Bec wants to improve his position but Shredder is controlling well.
Shredder is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Bec is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
