Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nakagome Kakuzo (ranked 2637 p4p, 1942 weight class) and Angus Scott (ranked 349 p4p, 264 weight class). Scott is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Eatin pussy and kickin ass. Angus Scott has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Nakagome Kakuzo's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nakagome Kakuzo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Angus Scott! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Chad Campbell and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Scott scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Kakuzo throws out a token jab with nothing on it. No joy there for Scott, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kakuzo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Scott misses with a hook
and Kakuzo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Scott misses with a lunging right hand
enabling Kakuzo to counter with a crisp jab. Scott lands a jab. Kakuzo drops his hands momentarily and Scott takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Scott fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kakuzo manages to avoid it. Scott takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
A big right from Kakuzo misses. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kakuzo scores with a three punch combo!
Kakuzo connects with a single shot there. Kakuzo defending well as Scott loads up on a big left hand. Kakuzo throws a body shot but no joy. Scott throws a hook but Kakuzo avoids it easily. Scott misses with a looping right. Sloppy strikes from Kakuzo. Those never looked like landing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kakuzo uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. A head kick misses from Kakuzo. It seemed like Scott was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Scott looks to land a combination but Kakuzo avoids it well. Scott throws an off balance right hand
and Kakuzo counters with a lovely shot to the body. Scott misses with a body kick. Scott looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Scott lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Scott scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

and Kakuzo counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kakuzo. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Scott keeping moving, preventing Kakuzo from controlling successfully. Scott is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kakuzo is controlling him. Kakuzo loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kakuzo wants to control from the top but Scott keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kakuzo works a leg free and moves into half guard. Kakuzo is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Kakuzo throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Scott can do anything to dispel that myth. Kakuzo seems to be working for a kimura but Scott defends the submission attempt. Scott keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kakuzo is nestled in close to Scott, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Kakuzo tries to pass to full mount but Scott defends it. Kakuzo is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Scott doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kakuzo.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kakuzo missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Kakuzo is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Kakuzo thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Kakuzo is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Scott wants to get back to his feet. Kakuzo is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Scott is refusing to be controlled, as Kakuzo sits in half guard. Kakuzo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Scott is just riding it out for now. Kakuzo eventually gives up the hold. Kakuzo throwing shots but Scott is blocking nicely. Kakuzo thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Nakagome Kakuzo dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Good standup being displayed there by Kakuzo as he connects with a hook. Kakuzo uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Scott. Angus Scott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kakuzo tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Scott manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Kakuzo catches Scott with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Scott blocks the body kick.
A telegraphed right hand from Scott misses the target. Kakuzo doesn't manage to clinch there - Scott circles away.
Scott misses with an uppercut
and Kakuzo counters with a right hand to the body. Scott misses with a hook. Scott has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Scott looks to land a left hand but Kakuzo moved out of range nicely. Jab, jab by Scott - just one landing. Kakuzo closes the distance and pushes Scott back into the cage. This has been an exciting period of action! Come on Kakuzo - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Kakuzo for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure. Kakuzo will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Scott up against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kakuzo has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Scott uses from the top position. Kakuzo looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Scott is defending well. Kakuzo quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Scott has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Kakuzo celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
