Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Paul Regliant (ranked 3821 p4p, 5489 weight class) and Joe Diddy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joe Diddy will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Joe Diddy!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Peter Branson and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diddy shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Regliant napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Regliant is not content to let Diddy control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Regliant is looking to regain half guard here but Diddy keeps moving and retains side control.
Regliant stops Diddy from passing to mount.
Regliant holds on to Diddy's head and controls the position momentarily.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Diddy wants to work for an arm triangle but Regliant is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Diddy goes for an armbar but Regliant turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Regliant.

We've been informed that Diddy has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Diddy is looking for a triangle but Regliant pushes his legs off easily.
Regliant's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Regliant wants to control from the top but Diddy keeps moving.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Regliant drops back looking for a leg! Diddy is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Diddy manages to kick Regliant off! Regliant jumps back into Diddy's guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Regliant fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Diddy avoids it really well and circles away.
Diddy shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Regliant is looking to cinch up a triangle. Diddy throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Regliant's body to avoid the submission. Regliant has instead reached around Diddy's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Regliant arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
