The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaepernick tries to clinch up.
Rondon flicks out a counter leg kick but Kaepernick steps away.
Kaepernick fails to land the takedown.
Rondon lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Kaepernick looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Rondon!
Kaepernick is working Rondon over with some ground and pound from side control.
Rondon is not content to let Kaepernick control the position.
Rondon tries to buck Kaepernick off but Kaepernick is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kaepernick lands a few punches from side control.

It looks like Jose Rondon has been cut.
Kaepernick is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Rondon has escaped the position, nice work there.
Rondon is still in real trouble! Can Kaepernick finish him?
Kaepernick cracks Rondon with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Kaepernick immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Rondon is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Kaepernick!
