The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akamu rushes Gardner and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Akamu gets through Gardner's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Akamu lands a left hand that snaps the head of Gardner backwards.
Gardner throws an elbow that misses.
Gardner misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Akamu swings away with an uppercut that misses.
A nice left hand lands by Akamu.
Akamu lands a right hand that snaps the head of Gardner backwards.
Akamu pushes Gardner back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Akamu lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Gardner or not.
Gardner looks winded!
Gardner is trying to break the clinch but Akamu has him pressed against the cage.
