Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Small Dayton (ranked 2504 p4p, 3173 weight class) and Freaky George (ranked 223 p4p, 271 weight class). Freaky George will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Michael Johnstone and Sandra Marshall.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
George misses with an uppercut.
Dayton changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
George sizes up Dayton with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
George throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Dayton closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into George's guard.
Dayton seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dayton drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and George dives on top into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dayton is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Dayton pushes a forearm under George's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, George is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
