Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between David Goldberg (ranked 5737 p4p, 6405 weight class) and Guy Rich (ranked 523 p4p, 545 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, David Goldberg! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Guy Rich! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Dirk Anderson and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rich lands with a straight right. Goldberg didn't see that one coming. Rich is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Goldberg throws a poor cross that misses
and Rich counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Guy Rich seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A nice leg kick from Rich, right into the meat of the thigh.
Goldberg on the wrong end of a nice hook. Goldberg misses the body punch and Rich counters with a lovely straight right hand! Goldberg avoids the head kick by Rich.
Goldberg waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Rich. Goldberg tries to work over Rich's front leg with a kick but Rich checks it. Goldberg misses with an uppercut
and Rich counters with a nice uppercut. Goldberg throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Rich tries to clinch but Goldberg is having none of it. Rich wants to clinch up but Goldberg keeps it at a distance. Rich misses with a hook to the body
and Goldberg counters with a takedown into side control. Goldberg definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. This has been an exciting period of action! Rich is looking for a sweep. Goldberg is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Rich will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Rich is trying to work for a sweep but Goldberg has mounted him!
That's one minute gone in the round. Goldberg controlling the position easily from mount. Rich really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Goldberg. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Goldberg scoring with strikes but Rich is staying in there. Goldberg controlling from mount. Rich is working to get back to half guard.

Rich is rocked! Rich is trying to escape the mount.
Goldberg content just to control the position here. Goldberg loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Rich scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Goldberg land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Goldberg stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). David Goldberg! David Goldberg decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
