Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Franco Fajardo (ranked 2436 p4p, 3541 weight class) and Shunsui Kyoraku (ranked 307 p4p, 412 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Franco Fajardo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Shunsui Kyoraku! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Peter Branson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kyoraku swinging wildly here.
Fajardo changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Kyoraku throws out a powerful jab. Kyoraku connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
It looks like Franco Fajardo has been cut. Kyoraku fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Fajardo on the side of the head. Kyoraku scores with a jab. Fajardo acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Kyoraku takes the fight into the clinch. Kyoraku escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Fajardo throws a jab but it's blocked by Kyoraku. Kyoraku doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Fajardo on the wrong end of a nice hook. Fajardo ducks right into an uppercut from Kyoraku. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Fajardo tries to move into range but Kyoraku moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Kyoraku lands a jab to the nose. Kyoraku changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. A decent looking cross lands there for Kyoraku.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kyoraku lands with a nice combination. Fajardo backs away looking to recover. Fajardo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kyoraku sees it coming and avoids it easily. Fajardo definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Kyoraku lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Kyoraku throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Fajardo drops his hands momentarily and Kyoraku takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Fajardo closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Fajardo dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Kyoraku taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Kyoraku gets through Fajardo's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Kyoraku is trying to push Fajardo away but Fajardo has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Fajardo pulls guard successfully.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Fajardo is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fajardo working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kyoraku. Fajardo looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kyoraku accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Fajardo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Fajardo keeping moving, preventing Kyoraku from controlling successfully. Fajardo utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Kyoraku looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kyoraku is looking to work some ground and pound but Fajardo has wrist control. Kyoraku throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Fajardo works some decent striking defense from the bottom. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Fajardo holds on and takes a little breather. Fajardo has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Kyoraku should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Fajardo has tightened it up now! Kyoraku should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
