Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between James Hackett (ranked 1352 p4p, 1298 weight class) and Gagong UnEqual (ranked 88 p4p, 86 weight class). Hackett comes to the cage accompanied by Foe Tha Love of Money. UnEqual has chosen C'mon Man - WTFBRAHH! as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, James Hackett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gagong UnEqual!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Richard Clark and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hackett wants to land a leg kick but UnEqual is out of range.
Hackett fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and UnEqual has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
UnEqual lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

UnEqual shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hackett manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Hackett looking for a sweep. Not yet Hackett, not yet.

Hackett had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. UnEqual defends it easily.
Hackett is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as UnEqual accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

UnEqual postures up and lands a big shot to Hackett's brow.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hackett is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
UnEqual throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hackett works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
UnEqual tries to free his leg and advance position but Hackett is retaining full guard.
UnEqual is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
UnEqual wants to pass the guard but Hackett is keeping the position.
Hackett can't keep his opponent in guard - UnEqual advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
UnEqual is pressing down on Hackett's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hackett is holding on for now.
Hackett gets back to full guard.
UnEqual must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Hackett is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. UnEqual is aware though and is defending well.
Hackett looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Hackett is looking for a triangle but UnEqual pushes his legs off easily.
UnEqual is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
UnEqual is pushing down on Hackett's leg trying to pass to half guard. Hackett is fighting to maintain full guard but UnEqual has managed to sneak the leg through.
UnEqual landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

UnEqual is looking for a kimura but Hackett is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for UnEqual to get the leverage.

UnEqual is trying for a kimura here. Hackett looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! UnEqual wins by kimura!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Gagong UnEqual!
In his post fight interview, Gagong UnEqual started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
