Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Frank Shewmaker (ranked 2586 p4p, 23551 weight class) and Boxing Powerhous (ranked 99 p4p, 259 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Shewmaker! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 14 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Boxing Powerhous! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Powerhous avoids a punch combination nicely.
Powerhous closes the distance and pushes Shewmaker back into the ropes. Shewmaker landing knees to the head.
Shewmaker lands on the inside with an uppercut. With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Shewmaker creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Powerhous looking to stall.
Shewmaker lands with a short head shot on the inside. Shewmaker working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Powerhous looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Shewmaker landing knees to the head.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Shewmaker with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Shewmaker lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Shewmaker tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

I was talking to Shewmaker's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Shewmaker connects with a knee to the head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Shewmaker throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Powerhouss head.
