Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Junior Seto (ranked 782 p4p, 1697 weight class) and Edmond Chabazian (ranked 109 p4p, 227 weight class). Seto comes to the cage accompanied by The Doors - Roadhouse Blues. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Junior Seto! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Edmond Chabazian! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chabazian shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Chabazian was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Seto manages to get back to half guard. Seto trying to control but Chabazian postures up.
Chabazian wants to lay and pray for a moment but Seto keeps working. Chabazian thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Seto's head. Chabazian wants to pass to mount but Seto is defending the position. Chabazian prevents Seto from improving his position. Chabazian looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Seto moves into full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chabazian works over Seto with some ground and pound from guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chabazian passes Seto's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Seto is trying to get back to full guard. Chabazian is pressing down on Seto's thigh, looking to free his foot. Seto is holding on for now. Chabazian wants to take a breather but Seto is having none of it. Chabazian wants to free his trapped foot but Seto is holding on for dear life with his legs. Chabazian thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Seto is looking for a sweep. Chabazian is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Chabazian is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Seto is just riding it out for now. Chabazian eventually gives up the hold. Seto keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Chabazian is working for a submission of some sort.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Seto is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Chabazian is trying to control. Seto wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Chabazian landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Seto tries to roll over but Chabazian keeps him under control. Chabazian looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Chabazian prevents Seto from improving his position. Chabazian wants to control but Seto is keeping him busy. Seto manages to get to full guard.
Chabazian stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Seto swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chabazian wants to control from the top but Seto keeps moving. Chabazian pushes down on Seto's leg and manages to get into half guard. Seto gets back to full guard.
Seto seems keen to control Chabazian's posture. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Seto is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Seto is trying to control. Chabazian wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Seto is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Chabazian defends it well. Seto looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Chabazian wants to improve his position but Seto is controlling well.

God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Seto is looking to advance position but Chabazian won't allow it. Seto tries to bench press Chabazian off him but Chabazian keeps the position. Seto is not content to let Chabazian control the position. Chabazian working the head with strikes. Chabazian looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Seto can't do much from the bottom here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Seto manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Seto has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Chabazian is working away from the top position though. Chabazian passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Seto! Chabazian landing strikes from the mount and Seto is in trouble! Seto tries to hold on but Chabazian postures up. Chabazian fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Chabazian raining down shots from the mount! Chabazian trying to control but Seto is having none of it. Chabazian has been the more effective fighter overall so far. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Chabazian looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Edmond Chabazian showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Chabazian shoots in and bounces Seto off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Seto is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Seto seems keen to control Chabazian's posture. Chabazian looking to pass the guard. Seto controlling the position. Chabazian throws a big elbow that misses. Seto wants to sweep here but Chabazian controlling him for the moment. Seto trying to keep a closed guard but Chabazian is proving a slippery customer.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Chabazian wants to control from the top but Seto keeps moving.

Chabazian darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Chabazian working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Chabazian is working for a kimura but Seto is defending it quite comfortably.

Chabazian looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Seto tries to roll over but Chabazian keeps him under control. Chabazian thows a huge punch but Seto dodges it nicely.
Chabazian works his way into full mount! Seto is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Seto seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Chabazian does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Chabazian looking very determined here, making life difficult for Seto.

Seto trying to control. Seto slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Chabazian tries to escape but Seto has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Chabazian looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Seto is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Chabazian has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Chabazian felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
