Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Lawrence (ranked 4221 p4p, 24402 weight class) and Dembe Ndembe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lawrence comes to the cage accompanied by One Step Closer. The key to victory for Johnny Lawrence has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Johnny Lawrence!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dembe Ndembe!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawrence is looking to clinch.
Lawrence throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

It looks like Dembe Ndembe has been cut.
Lawrence tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ndembe swivels and escapes.
Ndembe darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Lawrence closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ndembe to the mat! Ndembe manages to get full guard.
Ndembe managing to control the position.
Ndembe should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Lawrence loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lawrence trying to control the position from guard on top but Ndembe is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Ndembe wants to stand but Lawrence is controlling the position.

Ndembe is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Ndembe wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ndembe is looking to stand up but Lawrence isn't so interested in that idea.
Lawrence throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ndembe works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Lawrence has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Lawrence content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Ndembe has locked up a guillotine! Ndembe's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Lawrence is holding on here and Ndembe must be using up a lot of energy. Lawrence has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Ndembe gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
