Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kong Wu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 33 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Damien Hawthorne!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Chad Campbell and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawthorne works the jab nicely.
Hawthorne is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Wu.
Wu tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hawthorne manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Wu throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hawthorne lands a nice looking body kick.
Wu tries for a takedown but Hawthorne sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Wu tries to clinch there but Hawthorne circles away.
Hawthorne lands with a kick to the ribs.
Wu is breathing heavily.
Hawthorne listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Hawthorne feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Wus jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
We've been informed that Hawthorne has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

It looks like Kong Wu has been cut.
Damien Hawthorne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hawthorne lands a nice shot that snaps Wu's head back.
A big right followed by a crushing left from Hawthorne knocks Wu out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
