The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGrew fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hunt manages to avoid it.
Hunt fails in his attempt to clinch.
Hunt darts in looking for a takedown but McGrew gets double underhooks and turns Hunt into the cage.
McGrew attempts a counter takedown but Hunt avoids it well and moves away.
McGrew keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
McGrew feinted with a counter takedown.

McGrew gets the takedown into side control.
Hunt wants to get back to his feet.
Hunt tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but McGrew wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Hunt can't do much from the bottom here.

McGrew tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no McGrew has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

McGrew is looking to take a break and control but Hunt is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Hunt gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Hunt wants to hold on but McGrew pushes him away.

Hunt wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
McGrew can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hunt is looking to escape.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

McGrew takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
McGrew seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hunt for as long as he can get away with.

McGrew is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Hunt to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Hunt shrugs it off.
Hunt wants to get back to his feet.

McGrew goes for an armbar but Hunt turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Hunt.

McGrew has his foot on Hunt's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hunt works his way back into a safe position though.

McGrew escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hunt gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
McGrew controls Hunt momentarily but Hunt frees himself.
Hunt is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Hunt lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

McGrew has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hunt can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

McGrew controls Hunt momentarily but Hunt frees himself.
Hunt trying to control the position from guard on top but McGrew is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
McGrew utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Hunt is sitting in close to McGrew's body. McGrew has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Hunt is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Hunt is tapping! That was a very nice submission by McGrew.
