And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Aleksandr Martynov and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the body from Shay misses
and Peshernek counters with a straight right hand.
Tevin Shay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shay takes a swing at Peshernek's ribcage but misses.
A little feinted left hand from Peshernek on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Shay shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Peshernek counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Shay misses with a looping right.

and Peshernek counters with a nice uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Peshernek looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Shay shoots in but no luck this time.
Peshernek throws a quick counter kick to the body but Shay avoids it.
Kurya Peshernek has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tevin Shay.
The fighters circling - Shay throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Peshernek appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

Shay misses with a looping left.
Peshernek is looking for a counter combo.
Shay throws a poor cross that misses
and Peshernek makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

and Peshernek counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

and Peshernek counters with a huge left! Shay is in big trouble! He's backing up but Peshernek isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Shay from any more damage. A dominating finish by Peshernek!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kurya Peshernek!
Tevin Shay spoke after the fight, saying 'I'll look back on the film and see what I did wrong. I'll take this "L"... it's on me.'.
