Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rurouni Kenshin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Portimo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rurouni Kenshin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tommy Portimo! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Ren Mimura and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Portimo fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Portimo gets caught flat footed, as Kenshin shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Portimo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kenshin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Kenshin has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Portimo looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Kenshin trying to control the position from guard on top but Portimo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kenshin wanted to stand there but Portimo had control of the position. Portimo working for a triangle but Kenshin defends it easily.
Kenshin distracts Portimo with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Portimo is looking for a triangle here but Kenshin uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Portimo tries to bench press Kenshin off him but Kenshin keeps the position. Portimo looks gassed! Portimo gets back to half guard. Portimo looking for submissions off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kenshin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Portimo keeps working. Portimo actively working from the bottom here. Kenshin stands up from half guard. Kenshin darts in and clinches Portimo up against the cage. Kenshin lands with a right to the head. Kenshin breaks the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Portimo throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Portimo is working an open guard so Kenshin takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Portimo has his takedown stuffed and Kenshin decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Portimo's guard. Rurouni Kenshin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tommy Portimo. Kenshin chips away with some ground and pound. Kenshin works over Portimo with some ground and pound from guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Portimo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kenshin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Portimo is tightening it up a little... Kenshin has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Kenshin reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Kenshin taps out! nice BJJ there by Portimo!
