Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Clifford Val Salvacion (ranked 24396 p4p, 24442 weight class) and Bart Terry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 27 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clifford Val Salvacion! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bart Terry! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Salvacion with a poor takedown and Terry counters with a two punch combo. Terry throws a body kick that misses and Salvacion counters with a head kick. Salvacion blocks a head kick by Terry.
Terry swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Salvacion makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Terry really felt that one! No luck with that takedown attempt from Terry. Terry shoots and misses and Salvacion counters with a body kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A head kick by Terry misses and Salvacion counters with a solid body kick. Terry drives through and clinches with Salvacion against the cage.
Salvacion has Terry pressed against the cage, preventing Terry from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Terry gets underhooks to prevent Salvacion's takedown attempt.
Terry has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Salvacion is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Clifford Val Salvacion has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bart Terry. Terry is looking for a takedown. Terry jumps guard and drags Salvacion to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Terry looks winded! Salvacion wants to control from the top but Terry keeps moving. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Terry looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Salvacion knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Terry on the ground. Terry is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Terry striking off his back but it's not causing Salvacion any problems. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Terry is controlling Salvacion's posture.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Terry shoots in but no luck this time. Terry shoots for a double leg takedown but Salvacion sprawls well. He's pushed Terry's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Terry misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Terry closes this distance looking for a takedown but Salvacion circles away. It appears Salvacion was looking to counter with a kick there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Terry. Salvacion quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Bart Terry seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Salvacion shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Terry as he jumps to the side. Terry shoots in but Salvacion avoids the takedown attempt easily. Terry with a lazy takedown attempt and Salvacion counters with a solid body kick. Terry tries to clinch there but Salvacion circles away.
Terry is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Salvacion thinks about countering with a body kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Terry wants to clinch but Salvacion slips to the side and Salvacion counters with a good, hard body kick but Terry shrugs it off. A lazy body kick from Terry and Salvacion counters with a nice body kick. Terry tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. No luck with that takedown attempt from Terry. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Salvacion closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Clifford Val Salvacion dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Salvacion dives in for a single leg takedown but Terry sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Terry tries to land a knee to the head but Salvacion blocks with his arms.
Terry is trying to push Salvacion away but Salvacion has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Salvacion changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Terry fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Clifford Val Salvacion is winning the standup battle so far. Terry has closed the distance and engaged Salvacion in a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Terry is trying to drag Salvacion to the mat but Salvacion just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Terry drags the fight down to the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Terry has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Salvacion can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Salvacion stopping the sweep attempt from Terry. Salvacion trying to control but Terry is working from the bottom. Terry throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Terry throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Salvacion wants to control from the top but Terry keeps moving. Terry looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Terry escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Salvacion gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Terry tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Salvacion counters with a good, hard body kick but Terry shrugs it off. Terry throws a sloppy head kick and Salvacion counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Terry gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Salvacion counters with a slapping leg kick. Terry is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Terry clinches up with Salvacion and pushes him back against the cage. Salvacion is pressed up against the cage. Terry has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Salvacion down to the mat. Salvacion avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Clifford Val Salvacion has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bart Terry. Salvacion avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Salvacion manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Terry on his heels. He'll look to pass Terry's guard now, I'm sure. Terry working for submissions but it's allowed Salvacion to get to half guard.
Salvacion is trying to control the action in half guard but Terry is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Terry has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Salvacion is on him like a limpet, forcing Terry back against the cage. Terry tries to score a body lock takedown but Salvacion shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Terry gets underhooks to prevent Salvacion's takedown attempt.
Salvacion goes for a takedown in the clinch but Terry prevents it.
Terry manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Terry looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Terry is pulling down on Salvacion's head. It's preventing any offense from Salvacion, at least for the moment. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Bart Terry showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Salvacion's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round! Terry bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Terry throws a leg kick that is checked and Salvacion counters with a nice body kick.
