Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jack Johnson (ranked 3766 p4p, 5065 weight class) and Serg Killov (ranked 326 p4p, 0 weight class). Serg Killov will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Serg Killov!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Alyssa Summers and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Killov goes for a double leg but Johnson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Johnson continues to drive forward.
As Killov tries to get set, Johnson tries to push him back and clinch up but Killov manages to avoid the attempt.

Johnson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Killov to the mat! Killov manages to get full guard.
Johnson controlling from the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Johnson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Killov throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Johnson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Killov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Johnson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Johnson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Killov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Johnson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Johnson content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Killov is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Johnson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Killov working for a triangle but Johnson defends it easily.
Johnson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Killov is looking for a triangle but Johnson pushes his legs off easily.
Johnson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Killov is keeping the position for now.
Johnson works over Killov with some ground and pound from guard.

Johnson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Killov looking for a guillotine here but Johnson defends easily.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Killov throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Johnson trying to stand up but can't free himself from Killov's guard.
Killov is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Johnson controlling the position well.
Johnson wants to control but Killov is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Johnson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Killov looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Killov is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Killov is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Johnson is trying to control but can't.

Killov trying to work for an americana but Johnson has managed to regain full guard.

Killov drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Killov as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Johnson screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Killov! Nice submission victory there!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Serg Killov!
