PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Phol Boxaaja (ranked 2016 p4p, 2121 weight class) and Neil Nucombe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

With a record of 36 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Neil Nucombe!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Dmitry Maklakov and Viktor Lagutenko.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Boxaaja works the jab nicely.
Boxaaja moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Boxaaja digs a good hook to Nucombe's body.
Boxaaja slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Nucombe walks straight into a right hand from Boxaaja - that's dropped him! Boxaaja jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Nucombe from any more punishment! Nucombe complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
