Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Patron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and BJ Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Mauricio Rocha and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patron fails to land the takedown.
Patron scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Patron goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Gracie has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Patron but great work by Gracie.
Patron tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Patron manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Patron thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Gracie to regain full guard.
Patron has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Gracie has Patron pulled in close to control his posture.
Patron throwing strikes from guard but Gracie blocks nicely.

Gracie is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Patron throws a strike but Gracie rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Gracie gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Patron throws a nice looking combination but Gracie bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Patron lands a glancing blow to the side of Gracie's head.
Patron looks for a takedown but Gracie sprawls well.
Gracie rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Patron moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Gracie gets a takedown into half guard.
Patron tries to kick Gracie off in order to stand up. Gracie Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Gracie wants to lay and pray for a moment but Patron keeps working.
Patron tries to buck Gracie off but Gracie is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Patron is working hard here to advance position.
Patron is breathing heavily.
Patron struggling a bit here.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Michael Patron will probably get the nod.

Patron gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Patron is looking for a triangle here but Gracie uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
You can see the frustration on Patron's face as Gracie controls the position.
Let's hope that Gracie has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Patron is trying to control Gracie's posture but Gracie avoids it.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Patron holds on to Gracie's head and controls the position momentarily.

Patron throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Patron closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Patron lands in his opponent's guard.
Patron is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Gracie working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Patron.
Patron postures up in Gracie's guard and throws a big left but Gracie blocks it.
Patron drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Gracie dives on top into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Patron trying to keep a closed guard but Gracie is proving a slippery customer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but BJ Gracie will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Gracie shoots for a double leg takedown but Patron sprawls well. He's pushed Gracie's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Patron has his takedown stuffed
and Gracie counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Gracie.
Patron wants to control but Gracie passes easily into half guard.
Gracie tries to pass to full mount but Patron defends it.

Patron has his takedown stuffed
and Gracie counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Patron!
Patron throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
Patron is just holding on here. Gracie manages to take his back.
Patron wants to control his opponent's hands but Gracie gets his hands free.
Gracie trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Patron doesn't escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
You can see the frustration on Patron's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracie has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Patron's body.
Gracie is trying to stick to Patron's back but Patron is turning into Gracie. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Gracie's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Patron.
And that's the end of the fight!
BJ Gracie comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Gracie has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
