Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ray Ovac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, David Schapiro and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parker misses the shot to the body.
Parker throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ovac sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Ovac takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
It looks like Ray Ovac has been cut.

The fight stays on the outside here - Ovac looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Ovac holds on and takes a little breather.

Parker stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ovac swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Parker thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Ovac has a closed guard, preventing Parker from standing up.
Parker throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Ovac is breathing heavily.

Parker has gone for a leg lock! Ovac slips out almost immediately though and dives into Parker's guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Parker looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Parker looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Parker had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Ovac is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Parker Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Ovac's back instead.

Ovac trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Parker thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.

Ovac knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Parker on the ground.
Parker is trying to stick to Ovac's back but Ovac is turning into Parker. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Parker's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Ovac.
Parker looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Ovac has picked Parker up and slammed him! Parker can't keep hold of the triangle and Ovac manages to pass to side control!
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Parker tries to buck Ovac off but Ovac is having none of it.

Ovac closes the distance and clinches up with Parker, looking for a takedown. Ovac pushes Parker against the cage but Parker circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Parker misses with a straight left.
Ovac avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Ovac looks to land a body kick but Parker moved away.
Parker lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Ovac backs up against the cage.

That's time! Ovac's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!

Ovac scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Ovac feints and as Parker raises his hands in defense, Ovac changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Ovac stops Parker from getting back to his feet.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ray Ovac.
I think Parker has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
