Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Barry Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Brock Tyson!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Chris Edwards and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyson closes the distance and clinches up with Jones, looking for a takedown. Tyson pushes Jones against the cage but Jones circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jones throws a shot to the body.
A chopping leg kick lands by Tyson.
Tyson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jones misses with a straight right.
Jones throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Tyson on the side of the head.
Barry Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tyson slips a jab and a cross from Jones.
Tyson doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Jones counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Tyson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jones throws out the jab.

Jones throws a right and a left that Tyson avoids nicely.
Tyson lands with a kick to the temple. Jones shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Jones rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tyson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Jones throws a hook to the side of Tyson's head but Tyson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Tyson scores with a jab. Jones acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Tyson dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Tyson's head and hops out.

Jones got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tyson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jones has managed to get both his arms back between Tyson's legs - danger averted.

Tyson dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Tyson's head and hops out.

Jones cracks a nice hook into Tyson's ribs.
Tyson looks for a takedown but Jones sprawls well.

Tyson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Jones connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Tyson momentarily.
Tyson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jones circles away.

Jones went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Tyson ducks right into an uppercut from Jones.
Jones lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Jones loads up on a big right hand but Tyson slips the punch.

Jones swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jones is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Jones lands with an uppercut that bounces Tyson off the cage and back into range.
Jones rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tyson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Tyson throws a fast counter high kick but Jones manages to duck under it in time.

The fight stays on the outside here - Tyson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A punch lands to the side of Tyson 's head but he takes it in his stride.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The crowd cheers as Jones lands an impressive looking overhand right. Tyson doesn't seem phased though.
Jones throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Tyson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Jones cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Tyson walks into a stiff left hand from Jones.
Tyson dives in for a single leg takedown but Jones sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Jones is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Jones digs a good body shot into Tyson's ribs.

Tyson has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.

Jones is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Jones scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Tyson doesn't seem bothered though.

Tyson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jones defends well and Tyson ends up having to push Jones into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Tyson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jones sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tyson somewhat.

Jones has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tyson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jones misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jones looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Brock Tyson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Tyson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Barry Jones showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jones, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
