Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 35 - 50 - 1, fighting out of New York, Lyle Alzado!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Frank Blank!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Kenichi Hosakawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Blank does no damage.
Alzado throws a lazy right hand but Blank sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Alzado tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Alzado shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Alzado throws out a loose jab but Blank uses good head movement to avoid it.
Blank throws a series of punches but Alzado moves out of range.
Blank gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Alzado misses with a punch on the inside.
Blank breaks the clinch.
Alzado moves in looking to clinch but Blank pushes him off.
Blank showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Alzado.
Blank thuds his right hand into Alzado's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Blank connects with a combination that backs up Alzado into the cage. Blank lands a flurry of punches that gets past Alzado's guard. Alzado is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Blank bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
