Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matheus Costa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Nass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jake Nass! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Thiago Cunha and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nass looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Costa is fending him off so far but Nass persists. Nope, Costa circles away and we're back to standing. Costa tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nass swats him away and circles back towards the center. Nass shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Costa as he avoids it easily. Nass moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Costa fails with an attempt to clinch.
Costa drives through with a takedown into guard. Costa might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Nass has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Costa can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Costa keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Nass's head. Costa makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Costa knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nass on the ground. Nass keeping moving, preventing Costa from controlling successfully. That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Costa has his foot on Nass's thigh. Matheus Costa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Nice takedown defense from Costa. No joy for Nass on that attempt. Matheus Costa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Nass. Nass misses with a takedown attempt and Costa holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Nass fails with the takedown and Costa counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Costa. Costa with a nice head shot there. Costa throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Costa rolls with it to try and escape but Nass cranks on the arm and Costa is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
