Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Spencer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Phillips!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phillips misses the shot to the body.
Spencer displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Phillips.

and Spencer counters with a thumping low kick.
Spencer slips under a jab.
Spencer shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Phillips shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Spencer pinned against the cage. Spencer gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Phillips shoots in looking for a takedown. Spencer tries to sprawl out of it but Phillips keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Spencer manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Phillips is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Phillips is fighting to break Spencer's control of his arms but Spencer is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Spencer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Phillips on the ground.

It looks like Spencer has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Spencer looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

I would just about give that final round to Jack Phillips.
Well Phillips has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
