Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rulon Gardner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anthony Prilla!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prilla throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A counter left hand to the body from Gardner misses its target.
Jab from Gardner.
Prilla takes a swing at Gardner's ribcage but misses.
Gardner misses with a two punch combination.
Gardner takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Gardner tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Prilla misses with a wild combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Prilla cracks Gardner with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Gardner looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Prilla finish him?
It looks like Rulon Gardner has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Prilla cracks Gardner on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Gardner falls backwards against the cage. Prilla follows up with more strikes that drop Gardner to his knees. Prilla keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Gardner! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Anthony Prilla!
In defeat, Rulon Gardner stepped up to the mic, saying 'Keith Peterson was at some dive bar with a $5 floozy right before this fight. I call kangaroo court.'.
