Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cathal O Doherty!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kuroda Atsushi!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
O Doherty throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
O Doherty backing away here, and Atsushi unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
O Doherty connects with a body shot.
Atsushi moves out of range of the body kick from O Doherty.
Atsushi steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Atsushi takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
O Doherty tried to score with a low kick but Atsushi checks it.
Atsushi only half commits to the counter leg kick.
O Doherty throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
O Doherty lands a nice leg kick that just misses Atsushi's sensitive parts.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Atsushi jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Atsushi checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Atsushi thinks about the counter body kick.
Atsushi misses with a low kick.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
O Doherty throws a chopping leg kick but Atsushi manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Atsushi tries a quick counter leg kick but O Doherty is wise to it.
And that's the end of the fight!
Cathal O Doherty showed his dominance in that final round.
Well O Doherty has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
