Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Regular Joe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jing Jing Li!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joe misses with an attempted mid kick.
Li avoids the head kick by Joe.
Joe throws a sloppy head kick
and Li counters by moving into the clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Li.
Li cracks Joe with a nice body shot.
Li unloads a knee to the mid-section. Joe lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Joe misses with some punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Li with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
It looks like Regular Joe has been cut.
Li landing some nice looking knees to the body.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Li creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
I was talking to Joe's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Li has Joe pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Joe is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Li - that's hurt Joe badly! Oh, another knee lands and Joe is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Joe doesn't seem to be complaining.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Jing Jing Li!
Jing Jing Li decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
