Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between BJ Penncil (ranked 5912 p4p, 6281 weight class) and Lincoln Wright (ranked 557 p4p, 567 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, BJ Penncil! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Lincoln Wright! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Alec Ball and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wright slips under a jab from Penncil. Penncil shoots for a double leg takedown but Wright sprawls well. He's pushed Penncil's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Wright misses with a takedown attempt - Penncil sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Penncil closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Penncil is trying to control the action in half guard but Wright is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Wright pushes Penncil off looking to stand but Penncil dives back in and keeps control.
Penncil is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Wright has managed to free his arm - good work. Wright felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Penncil throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Wright avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Penncil. Wright is refusing to be controlled, as Penncil sits in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wright is trying to maintain the position but Penncil is very close to passing his half guard. Penncil seems to be working for a kimura but Wright defends the submission attempt. Wright blocking the ground and pound attempt from Penncil. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Penncil prevents Wright from standing back up.
Penncil seems to be looking for submissions.
Penncil wants to take a breather but Wright is having none of it. Wright is controlling Penncil's trapped leg to prevent Penncil from advancing to side control. We've been hearing that Penncil has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Penncil is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Wright missing with punches from the bottom.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Wright is trying to stand up here but Penncil is controlling him well.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Wright misses with a takedown attempt and Penncil counters with a nice double leg into half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wright can do anything to dispel that myth. Penncil trying to control from half guard but Wright is working away. Wright tries to get to full guard but Penncil has control of the leg. Penncil is nestled in close to Wright, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Wright wants to control but Penncil is keeping busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Penncil throwing shots but Wright is blocking nicely. Wright wants to improve his position but Penncil is controlling well.
Penncil thows a huge punch but Wright dodges it nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Penncil is thwarting Wright's attempts to control the position. Penncil trying to control the action but Wright is working from the bottom. Penncil not landing any meaningful shots this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Penncil missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Penncil is trying to control the action in half guard but Wright is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Penncil tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Wright defends well and Penncil ends up having to push Wright into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Wright breaks from the clinch.
Wright is looking to slow Penncil down with leg kicks. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
BJ Penncil dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Wright shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Penncil as he avoids it easily. Wright looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Penncil kicks Wright off and gets to his feet. Wright closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Penncil to the mat! Penncil manages to get full guard. Wright really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Penncil. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Penncil is looking to cinch up a triangle. Wright throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Penncil's body to avoid the submission. Penncil has instead reached around Wright's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Penncil arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). BJ Penncil! A very excited looking BJ Penncil made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction. In defeat, Lincoln Wright stepped up to the mic, saying 'Im sorry things didnt go may way, so i will go back to trining harder smarter...next time victory will be mine'.
