Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Toby Rees (ranked 5452 p4p, 4305 weight class) and John Yossarian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Yossarian acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Toby Rees! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Yossarian! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Richard Clark and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yossarian misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Yossarian fails with the takedown and Rees counters with a shoot takedown. Yossarian fights it but they end up in guard. Rees tries to stand but Yossarian is controlling from the bottom. Yossarian escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rees gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Yossarian had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rees defends it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Yossarian working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rees doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rees manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rees tries to stand but Yossarian is controlling from the bottom. Yossarian looking for a guillotine here but Rees defends easily.
Rees knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Yossarian on the ground. Yossarian is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Rees stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Rees lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Rees delivers a nice body kick. Yossarian shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Rees counters with a head kick that wobbles Yossarian - left then right he sways and one more bomb from Rees sends him down. This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Toby Rees!
