Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Xxx Xxx (ranked 6316 p4p, 23820 weight class) and Xxx Xxx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Xxx Xxx will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 55 - 20 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 13 - 62 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Fighter A closes the distance and clinches up with Fighter B, looking for a takedown. Fighter A pushes Fighter B against the cage but Fighter B circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Fighter B replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Fighter A blocks it well. No luck with that takedown attempt from Fighter B. Fighter B looks to land a body kick but Fighter A moved away. And Fighter A counters with a quick kick to the body but Fighter B blocks it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fighter B tries for a takedown but Fighter A sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Fighter A leaves Fighter B with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Xxx Xxx has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xxx Xxx.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter B will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Fighter B throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fighter A's waist but Fighter A gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fighter B off to one side. It appears Fighter A was looking to counter with a kick there. Horrible takedown attempt by Fighter A or perhaps it was just good defense by Fighter B, which made it look bad. Fighter B follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Fighter B with a lazy takedown attempt and Fighter A counters with a body kick that stops Fighter B in his tracks momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. No luck for Fighter B with that takedown attempt. Fighter B shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Fighter B showed some decent athleticism there. Fighter A trying to control from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter B trying to control from Fighter A's half guard. Fighter A has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Fighter B postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fighter B accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Fighter A avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Fighter A is pulling down on Fighter B's head. It's preventing any offense from Fighter B, at least for the moment. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Fighter B throws a strike but Fighter A rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fighter A is fighting to break Fighter B's control of his arms but Fighter B is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Xxx Xxx will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Fighter B fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Fighter B fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Fighter A gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Fighter B counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. No luck for Fighter B with that takedown attempt. Xxx Xxx has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xxx Xxx.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter B fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Fighter A sprawls well initially but Fighter B persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Fighter A has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Fighter B is on him like a limpet, forcing Fighter A back against the cage. Fighter B gets underhooks to prevent Fighter A's takedown attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Fighter B is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Fighter A turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Fighter B keeps Fighter A under control for a moment. Fighter A controlling the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fighter A seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Fighter B for as long as he can get away with.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter A working away. Fighter B is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Fighter B is trying to control but can't.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Fighter A perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fighter B looking to score a takedown here. Fighter A is defending well but Fighter B drives through and ends up in Fighter A's guard. Fighter A controlling the position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Xxx Xxx will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Fighter B dives in and scores a takedown into Fighter A's guard. Fighter A controlling Fighter B's posture. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fighter A avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Fighter B with a nice head shot there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter A is adopting a defensive guard. Fighter B wants to control from the top but Fighter A keeps moving. Fighter A is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Fighter A drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fighter B controlling Fighter A's posture. Fighter A is stalling in the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Fighter B holds on and takes a little breather. Fighter B can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Fighter A controls the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Fighter A's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Fighter B closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Fighter A to the mat! Fighter A manages to get full guard. Xxx Xxx has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Xxx Xxx is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fighter A is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Fighter A is working hard here to advance position.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Xxx Xxx. I think Fighter A has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
