Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Nick Needle (ranked 5619 p4p, 4226 weight class) and Canelo Cobra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nick Needle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Canelo Cobra!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cobra throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Needle was covering up waiting for the punch and Cobra finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Needle uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Cobra changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Needle looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cobra decides to stand back up.
Cobra looking to score a takedown here. Needle is defending well but Cobra drives through and ends up in Needle's guard.
Cobra decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Needle is breathing heavily.
Cobra dives in and scores a takedown into Needle's guard.

Cobra sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Needle will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Cobra tries to free his leg and advance position but Needle is retaining full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Cobra gets to his feet - Needle follows without any prompting.
Needle moves in looking to clinch but Cobra pushes him off.
Cobra drives through with a takedown into guard.
Needle really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Cobra is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Needle dives in and grabs Cobra's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cobra pushes down on Needle's head and hops out.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Needle is defended easily by Cobra.
Cobra moves into range and clinches up with Needle.
Needle tries to break the clinch but Cobra is controlling the position.

Cobra's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Needle looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Cobra has closed the distance and engaged Needle in a clinch.
Cobra landing knees to the body.
Needle tries to circle away but Cobra has him pinned against the cage.
Cobra drags the fight down to the ground.
Needle trying to control the position from guard on top but Cobra is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Cobra looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Needle pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cobra is keeping the position for now.
Needle wants to control from the top but Cobra keeps moving.
Cobra doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Needle tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cobra swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Needle dives in and grabs Cobra's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cobra pushes down on Needle's head and hops out.
Needle tries to keep at a distance but Cobra has taken the fight into the clinch.
Cobra successfully pulls guard.
Needle trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Cobra manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Cobra has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Cobra is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cobra slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Cobra really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Needle. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Cobra passes into half guard.
Cobra perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Cobra is continuing to stall.
Cobra is thwarting Needle's attempts to control the position.
Cobra trying to mount his opponent but Needle defends it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Cobra passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Needle!
Cobra has hold of Needle's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Needle manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Needle is desperately trying to improve his position but Cobra has a good base and remains in mount.

Cobra controlling the pace for now.
Cobra raining down hammerfists from mount.
Cobra controlling his opponent.
Cobra working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Cobra controlling from the full mount.
Needle can't escape the position.

Needle wants to hold on but Cobra pushes him away.
Cobra landing strikes from the mount.
Needle slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Cobra lands strikes from half guard.
Cobra looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Cobra stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Needle to get to his feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Canelo Cobra showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Cobra is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Needle's half guard.
Cobra moves nicely into side control.

Cobra stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Cobra keeps control of Needle as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Needle has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Cobra is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Cobra breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
No luck for Needle with that takedown attempt.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Needle enables Cobra to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Needle manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Cobra with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Canelo Cobra has got the better of the ground game so far.
Cobra scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Cobra stays in close to Needle's body and controls the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cobra makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Cobra connects with a couple of short punches.

Cobra advances to mount.

BOOM! Cobra connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Cobra is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Needle can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Cobra tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Let's hope that Cobra has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Canelo Cobra comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Cobra has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
