Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Camillo (ranked 4449 p4p, 4467 weight class) and Gunner Mason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carlos Camillo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gunner Mason! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mason stuffs the takedown attempt from Camillo. Camillo gets slowly back to his feet. Camillo tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. It seemed like Mason was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Camillo tries to clinch but Mason moves out of range. Camillo fails with an attempt to clinch.
Camillo looks for a takedown but Mason sprawls well. Mason doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Camillo tries to clinch up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Camillo misses with a low kick. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Mason! But no joy. Camillo on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Camillo throws a head kick but Mason moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mason comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Mason misses with a wild body shot. Camillo doesn't succeed with the takedown and Mason counters with a stiff right hand. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carlos Camillo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mason throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Camillo on the side of the head. Carlos Camillo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mason throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Camillo misses with a hook. Mason ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Camillo darts in looking for a takedown but Mason gets double underhooks and turns Camillo into the cage. Mason has Camillo pressed against the cage.
A short body shot lands from Mason as the two fighters clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mason lands a body punch. Mason lands a body shot in the clinch.
Camillo is looking for a takedown. Camillo tries to pull guard but Mason forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Camillo fails to pull guard.
Mason manages to break the clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Camillo dives in for a single leg takedown but Mason sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Camillo is working for takedown but Mason is calmly controlling the position for now. Camillo is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mason blocks the elbow strike.
Mason breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Camillo tries to clinch and Mason counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Camillo thinking. Camillo doesn't manage to clinch there - Mason circles away.
Mason is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Mason lands a nice looking body shot.
Mason closes the distance and clinches. Camillo tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Mason just stands there and leans against the cage. Camillo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. It seemed like Mason was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mason scores with a shot to the body.
Mason cracks Camillo with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Camillo looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Mason finish him?
Camillo is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Camillo takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Oh Camillo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Camillo gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Mason gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Camillo is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gunner Mason!
