Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jach Bresnar (ranked 3437 p4p, 1535 weight class) and Jello Belly (ranked 416 p4p, 207 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Jach Bresnar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jello Belly!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Igor Prikhodko and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belly throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Bresnar counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Belly!

Belly throws Bresnar to one side and escapes!
Belly tests Bresnar's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Belly missing with a left hand there. Bresnar was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Bresnar walks into a left hand.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Belly throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Belly pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bresnar lands a slapping body shot.
Sloppy strikes from Belly. Those never looked like landing.
Belly avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bresnar slips under a jab from Belly.
Bresnar has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Canadian Combat Academy in the buildup to the fight.

Bresnar is looking to take a break and control but Belly is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bresnar throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Belly is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Bresnar trying to control the position but Belly is working away.

Bresnar goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Belly has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Bresnar but great work by Belly.
Belly grinds an elbow into Bresnar's temple.
Belly works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Bresnar regains half guard.
Belly seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bresnar does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Belly uses his free foot to push down on Bresnar's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Bresnar.
Belly looking to control but Bresnar is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Belly stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Bresnar moves out of range of the strikes.
Bresnar tries to counter with a takedown but Belly is quick to defend against it.
Bresnar jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Belly misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bresnar.

Bresnar changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Belly looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Belly is trying to get back to half guard.
Belly has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Belly wants to control but Bresnar postures up.

Belly is staying active underneath Bresnar, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Belly has hold of Bresnar's hands but Bresnar slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Bresnar looks to land a strike but Belly avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Belly has Bresnar pulled in close to control his posture.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bresnar accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Bresnar throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Belly works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Bresnar wants to control from the top but Belly keeps moving.
Bresnar throws an elbow that misses. Belly uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bresnar's guard. Nice move by Belly!

Belly trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Bresnar has his hands on Belly's head, controlling the position.
Belly advances position into side control!
Belly moves into full mount!

Belly goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Bresnar is on top in guard.
Bresnar distracts Belly with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Jello Belly dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Belly throws a right hand that Bresnar ducks under and follows up with a left that Bresnar also avoids with ease.
Bresnar appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Belly lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

It looks like Jach Bresnar has been cut.

Bresnar appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Bresnar displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Belly throws out the jab.
Belly takes a swing at Bresnar's ribcage but misses.
Bresnar lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Belly throws a hook to the side of Bresnar's head but Bresnar sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Belly lands a lovely overhand right.
Bresnar is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Belly.

Bresnar moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Belly fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Bresnar looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Bresnar wants to control from the top but Belly keeps moving.

Belly looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bresnar with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Belly decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Good exchange - Bresnar coming out on top.
Belly has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Bresnar moves in looking to clinch but Belly pushes him off.
Belly paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Belly scores with a hook to the body. Bresnar takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Belly jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Bresnar manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Belly on his heels. He'll look to pass Belly's guard now, I'm sure.

Jello Belly is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Bresnar has his foot on Belly's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Belly works his way back into a safe position though.

Well Belly has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
