Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Trayvon Lewis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chance San!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Roger Salmon and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

San moves into the clinch successfully.
San drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Lewis gets the underhooks and prevents it.

San is trying to trip Lewis. He has hold of a leg but Lewis is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. San persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Lewis not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
San wants to pass the guard but Lewis is keeping the position.

San drops back, looking for a kneebar! Lewis looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Lewis looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Lewis!

San is looking for a sweep.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
San keeps trying to improve his position.
San looks to move to half guard but instead Lewis has passed into mount! Damn!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

San wants to hold on but Lewis pushes him away.

San is squirming around, avoiding Lewis's attempts to control the action.

Lewis lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Lewis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Lewis wants to control the pace but San is squirming around nicely.

San sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
San is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are battling for position here. San manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
San keeping moving, preventing Lewis from controlling successfully.

Lewis lands a couple of digs.
San is looking to sweep but instead, Lewis has passed into half guard.
San has a hand on Lewis's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Lewis takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Lewis lands with some vicious ground and pound - can San hang on?

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Lewis cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

We've been hearing that Lewis has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

San tries to improve his position but Lewis has taken his back! Lewis has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will San tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Lewis pushes San away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
